The Epi-Olmec script in the digital era

The Epi-Olmec script is a Mesoamerican script that was used by the Olmec people. The script is basically a syllabary that employs logograms. More information about the script can be found in the Epi-Olmec section of ancientscripts.com.

Using all the available resources, we created a PostScript Type 1 font that can be used to recreate Epi-Olmec texts using modern technology. The font can be freely downloaded and it may be distributed and/or modified under the conditions of the LaTeX Project Public License, either version 1.2 of this license or (at your option) any later version. The latest version of this license is in www.latex-project.org/lppl.txt

The following table shows all the characters that we have digitized so far. We have taken extremely care to digitize all characters, but it is possible that we have not included some characters. If the kind reader believes that there is such a character, then the reader should contact the creator of the font at :

Note that a high resolution table is also available.
