Personal Information

This is a not-so-recent photo of myself.

I was born in Germany on December 4, 1965. I hold My current scientific interests include natural computing, programming language theory, concurrency, logic (especially intutionistic, linear and... ``fuzzy logic''), and electronic type setting with TEX. I know to program in many programming languages including: Pascal, FORTRAN, Perl, Modula-2, C/C++,LML, SML, Prolog, Java, and Scala.

I am a founding member of the The Greek TEX Friends Group, and currently I serve as the president of the group. I am the author and co-author of various LATEX packages (the greek option of the babel package, etc) that facilitate Greek language typeseting with LATEX. Also, I am the author of the first book on LATEX in Greek and the co-author of the Greek TEX FAQ. Also, I am the team leader of the Greek Molecular Computing Group. My hobbies include computers in general, coin and stamp collections, astronomy and philosophy. I speak Greek (!), English, a little Swedish and once upon a time I was able to communicate in Russian. I am the father of a lovely son (10 years old); his name is Demetrios-Georgios! (A very long Greek name:-)
